Located just outside Dunbar, East Links Family Park is arguably the best hands-on children's day out in East Lothian. It combines a sprawling petting farm with a chaotic, brilliant array of outdoor play equipment. Kids can explore a massive wooden fortress, race pedal go-karts, bounce on giant trampolines, and ride the iconic animal safari train where llamas and deer run right up to the carriages.

What to Expect

1. The Safari Train

The undisputed highlight of the park. Board the tractor-pulled train and head out into the paddocks. Llamas, deer, and sheep will run right up to the carriages looking for feed.

2. The Wooden Fortress

Let the kids loose in the massive, multi-level wooden fort featuring incredibly fast tube slides, climbing walls, and rope bridges.

3. Go-Karts and Sledging

Race around the pedal go-kart track, or grab a donut ring and slide down the artificial dry-slope sledging hill.

4. The Animal Barn

Head indoors to hold guinea pigs, pet the rabbits, and learn about the smaller farm animals from the friendly keeping staff.
